Where AmaLinks Pro is the better answer
Written first, and at length, because it is the part of a comparison page that is usually missing and the part that decides whether you should trust the rest of it.
The display builder is its whole product, and that focus shows
AmaLinks Pro has spent years on the specific problem of getting a good-looking, correctly attributed Amazon element into a WordPress post without a lot of ceremony. If what you want is a fast, pleasant way to drop a CTA button or a showcase into a paragraph you are already writing, a tool that does only that will usually feel better than a tool that does fifteen things.
Less to learn and less to switch off

What happens to the products in month nine
A product that goes out of stock or is discontinued keeps rendering, keeps being clicked, and earns nothing — indefinitely, silently. The Product Health Monitor checks every ASIN on the site on a schedule, lists the dead ones with the posts they appear in, and swaps one for a replacement everywhere at once. On a two-year-old site this is routinely the largest single leak, and no display-focused plugin has a reason to look for it.
The articles themselves
Five types, because a site of nothing but reviews never grows: the traffic arrives on the questions around a purchase and converts on the review it links to. On your own AI provider key, at that provider’s rates, with no word limit and no credits.
Which article earns
Visits, where they came from, and the Amazon click rate for that specific post, in one table stored in your own database. That is the number that changes what you do next, and it does not exist in an analytics tool or in Associates Central alone.

Both are licences rather than subscriptions, which makes this the most like-for-like price comparison in this pack — and also the one most likely to be out of date by the time you read it. Check both.
What moving actually involves
The honest part of any switch. Nobody’s migration is free, and a page that pretends otherwise is setting up a refund.
Different shortcodes, so run both while you convert
Leave existing posts rendering through AmaLinks Pro, write new ones with ours, and convert older posts in batches. Deactivating the old plugin before converting its shortcodes is the one thing that will visibly break pages.
Hand-typed Amazon links convert automatically

The verdict
These two plugins agree about the most important thing in the category — that API approval should not be a prerequisite for building a site — so the choice comes down to scope. Our case is entirely about what comes after display: the writing, and the slow decay of a site nobody is auditing. On a fifteen-post site that case is weak. Common questions
Do either of these need Amazon API access?
No, and that is the main thing they have in common. Both are built for affiliates who do not yet have Product Advertising API credentials, which matters because Amazon generally wants qualifying sales before granting them and you need a working site to make those sales.
Can I run both plugins at once?
Yes. They use different shortcodes and do not conflict, which is the sensible way to migrate. Convert your highest-traffic posts first, check them, and leave the rest for a week.
Which produces better-looking product boxes?

I only have twenty posts. Is the maintenance side worth anything to me?
Not yet, honestly. Twenty posts is a site you can audit by hand in an afternoon. Come back to that argument at a hundred, or when you notice you have stopped knowing which products are still available.
Does Ama Affiliate Pro replace my SEO plugin?
No. It has an SEO audit, an internal-linking tool, a duplicate finder and it writes schema for the articles it generates, but Yoast or Rank Math still own your titles, meta and sitemaps. The two are complementary and both should be installed.
What is the “Magic Reviewer”?
A writing mode for products that are not on Amazon at all — software, a service, a course — where you enter the details by hand and the article is written around them. It exists because most affiliate sites eventually want to review something Amazon does not sell.
Will switching plugins hurt my rankings?
Changing what renders a product box does not change the article text, title, URL or internal links, so there is no mechanism for it to. What can hurt is a heavier layout or one that shifts while loading — check Core Web Vitals on one converted page before converting the site.
