Ama Affiliate Pro vs AI Article Writers: The Article Is the Easy Part

Category comparison

A very good article, and then eighteen months of nobody looking at it

The dedicated AI writers do the writing part properly, and some of them do it better than we do. The question this page is about is what happens to those four hundred articles afterwards — because that is where affiliate sites lose their money, and it is outside every one of these tools’ remit.

Where they win The gap after publish Cost models Using both

Who wrote this. We make Ama Affiliate Pro, so we are one of the two products on this page and we are not a neutral party. What we can offer instead of neutrality is checkability: every row in the table below is a feature that either exists or does not, and you can confirm each one on AI article writers’s own site in about five minutes. Where AI article writers is the better choice, this page says so and names who should buy it.

The short version

  • Dedicated AI writers are good at writing. Several produce better prose than a plugin does, and it would be silly to pretend otherwise.
  • They stop at publish. Nothing in that category watches a product go out of stock, or notices a page with traffic and no affiliate link.
  • Most charge per article or per credit. We charge for a licence and you pay your AI provider directly, which is a different curve at volume.
  • The output lands in WordPress and is then unmanaged. That is the whole argument on this page.
  • Using both is reasonable — write with the specialist, maintain and measure with us.

What each one actually is

AI article writers

A category rather than a single product — Koala, Cuppa, Journalist, Byword and a dozen others. You give them a keyword; they research it, write a well-structured article, often pull in Amazon products, and hand back something publishable. Several of them are genuinely good at this and produce output that stands up next to a competent human draft.

Ama Affiliate Pro

A WordPress plugin that writes the five kinds of article an Amazon affiliate site needs, keeps the products inside them alive as they go out of stock, records which article earns rather than which is busy, and sends international readers to their own Amazon store. Ultra adds an agent that decides which of those to do today.

Feature by feature

Only checkable capabilities are in this table. Nothing here is a judgement about which tool is nicer to use — that is not something a tick can honestly represent.

Capability Ama Affiliate Pro AI article writers What the difference means
Amazon product boxes✓~Several insert product blocks. Whether they stay current after publication is the question that matters.
Comparison tables✓~Several generate one at write time. Ours is a live shortcode that re-reads product data.
Works without Amazon API approval✓~Varies by tool. Ours has an explicit three-source chain.
Writes the articles✓✓Their core competence, and for several of them a better one than ours.
Per-article click analytics✓✗They are writing tools; they do not live on your site and cannot see your traffic.
Finds discontinued products✓✗Requires something resident on the site checking every ASIN on a schedule.
Finds and fixes dead links✓✗Same reason.
International link localisation✓✗Requires a plugin rewriting links at page load, per reader.
One-off licence available✓~Most are subscriptions or credit packs. Check the specific tool.

Where AI article writers is the better answer

Written first, and at length, because it is the part of a comparison page that is usually missing and the part that decides whether you should trust the rest of it.

Several of them write better than we do, and that is not a small thing

The dedicated writers have one job and years of prompt engineering behind it. If you put the same keyword into the best of them and into our writer, there are cases where theirs comes back with a better article — a cleaner structure, more natural transitions, better use of the research. We are not going to claim otherwise on a page you can test in ten minutes.

Research depth is often deeper

Some of these tools do serious SERP analysis and entity extraction before they write a word, and it shows in how completely the article covers the topic. Our advanced SEO research reads the ranking pages and offers you terms, headings and questions to include, which is a lighter version of the same idea.

They are not tied to WordPress

If your site is not WordPress, or you publish to several sites and platforms, a hosted writing tool fits and a WordPress plugin does not fit at all. That is a hard constraint, not a preference.

Choose AI article writers if:

  • Writing volume is your only bottleneck and everything else is handled.
  • You publish somewhere other than WordPress.
  • You have somebody maintaining the site already.
  • Prose quality above all else, and you are willing to check output yourself.

Where Ama Affiliate Pro is the better answer

The article is not finished when it is published

Every product in it will eventually go out of stock, be discontinued, or be replaced by a newer model. Every outbound link will eventually 404. The article will slowly fall behind the pages outranking it. A writing tool has finished its job at publication and has no way to know about any of that — it does not live on your site. A plugin does, and everything in our Growth Tools follows from that.

It can see your traffic, so it can tell you what to write next

Visits, traffic source and Amazon click rate per article, from your own database. That produces a specific list: this post has readers and no product link; this one is losing search clicks; this keyword has impressions and no article behind it. A hosted writing tool cannot see any of this and has to be told what to write.

The cost curve is different at volume

Per-article and per-credit pricing is comfortable at ten articles a month and less comfortable at two hundred. A licence plus your own provider key means the marginal article costs whatever the tokens cost — the plugin reports the real figure from each call rather than estimating it.

In Ultra, something decides what today’s work is

The agent reads your analytics and Search Console, proposes specific work with the numbers attached, executes what you approve, and checks weeks later whether it helped. A writing tool waits to be given a keyword; this one works out which keyword.

Choose Ama Affiliate Pro if:

  • You are running the site alone and nobody is maintaining it.
  • You have published enough that you no longer know what is in there.
  • You want what to write next decided from your own traffic data.
  • Volume is high enough that per-article pricing has started to hurt.

What each one costs to run

Prices change without notice. Neither side is quoted as a price here, on purpose: the shape of the difference lasts longer than any figure. Check both on the sellers’ own pages before you decide anything.

AI article writers

Typically a subscription with an article or credit allowance, or per-article pricing. Check the specific tool — this category’s pricing changes often.

Ama Affiliate Pro

A licence with a lifetime option, plus your own AI provider account billed by that provider at their rates. No word limit and no credits.

Work out your cost per article on both, at the volume you actually publish rather than the volume you plan to. At ten a month the specialists are usually fine and the difference is small. At two hundred a month the curves separate sharply, and that is the point at which this comparison is worth doing properly.

What moving actually involves

The honest part of any switch. Nobody’s migration is free, and a page that pretends otherwise is setting up a refund.

There is nothing to migrate — the articles are already yours

Anything a writing tool published into WordPress is ordinary post content in your database. Installing a plugin alongside it changes nothing about those posts.

The first thing to run is an audit, not a generator

If you have a few hundred AI-written articles already, run the Product Health Monitor, Monetize Old Posts and the SEO audit before writing anything new. On sites built quickly with a writing tool, those three routinely surface dead products and posts with no affiliate element at all — because nothing was ever watching for them.

The verdict

If your only problem is that not enough is being written, buy the best writer you can find and get on with it — several of them are excellent and this page is not trying to talk you out of one. The case for a plugin instead starts the moment the site is large enough that publishing is no longer the constraint: when the money is being lost in products that no longer exist, pages with traffic and nothing to click, and articles quietly sliding down the results with nobody watching. Those are resident problems, and they need something that lives on the site rather than something you visit to place an order.

Look inside before you decide

Every admin screen of Ama Affiliate Pro and Ultra, clickable, on one page — no sign-up, no email, nothing to install. Compare it against AI article writers’s own demo and make your own mind up.

Compared with the others

The same nine capabilities, applied to every alternative: all the comparisons in one table. If you are still deciding what kind of tool you need at all, the playbook walks through the stages of an affiliate site and names which problems a plugin solves and which it cannot.

Common questions

Is a dedicated AI writer better at writing than a plugin?

Often, yes. That is their only job and several are very good at it. Test both on the same keyword before deciding — it takes ten minutes and it is more informative than any comparison page, including this one.

So why use a plugin at all?

Because the article is the beginning of the work rather than the end of it. Products go out of stock, links die, pages fall behind, and traffic arrives on posts that have nothing to click. All of that happens after the writing tool has finished, and none of it is visible to something that does not live on your site.

Can I use both?

Yes, and for a site with a serious content budget that is a good setup: write with the specialist, and use the plugin for product data, per-article analytics and the maintenance tools. Nothing conflicts.

Does Google penalise AI-written content?

Google’s stated position has been that it rewards helpful content regardless of how it was produced and acts against content produced primarily to manipulate rankings. In practice the affiliate sites that get hurt are the ones that published volume without checking anything — which is a supervision problem rather than an AI problem. Read the current guidance yourself rather than any vendor’s summary of it, including this one.

How much does an article cost with your plugin?

Whatever your AI provider charges for the tokens, and nothing to us. The plugin computes it from the real token counts each call returns, priced at rates you enter, so the figure is actual rather than an estimate. On a cheap model it is a fraction of a cent; on an expensive one it is meaningfully more, which is exactly why drafting and polishing can run on different models.

Which produces better Amazon roundups specifically?

Test it. What we would point out is a structural difference rather than a quality one: our Top 5 skips a keyword rather than publishing a “Top 5” with two products in it, and the comparison table it inserts is a live shortcode that re-reads product data instead of a snapshot of prices from the day it was written.

I already have 300 AI-written articles. What should I do first?

Audit before you generate. Product Health Monitor, Monetize Old Posts, and the SEO audit — all read-only, all runnable during a trial. Sites built fast with writing tools reliably have dead products and unmonetised pages in them, because nothing was ever checking.

Is this page fair to those tools?

It concedes that several write better than we do and that research depth is often deeper on their side, and it tells you to buy one if writing volume is your only problem. Where it disagrees with them is about what happens after publication, and that is a claim you can check by looking at their feature lists for anything that watches a live site.
