Content Egg or Ama Affiliate Pro — how many places do your products come from?
Content Egg’s strength is the number of networks it reads. If your site compares prices across many merchants, that is the whole game and nothing here should talk you out of it. If Amazon is the business, breadth is buying you something you are not using.
Who wrote this. We make Ama Affiliate Pro, so we are one of the two products on this page and we are not a neutral party. What we can offer instead of neutrality is checkability: every row in the table below is a feature that either exists or does not, and you can confirm each one on Content Egg’s own site in about five minutes. Where Content Egg is the better choice, this page says so and names who should buy it.
The short version
- Content Egg is built for many networks at once. Price-comparison and deal sites are its home ground and it is strong there.
- We are Amazon-first and go deeper on that one. That is a narrower product, deliberately.
- Neither writes the same way. We generate five article types on your own AI key; check Content Egg’s current content features against your needs.
- The upkeep tools are our main argument — dead products, dead links, unmonetised posts, orphans, duplicates.
- If you sell across AliExpress, eBay and Amazon together, buy Content Egg. That is not a close call.
What each one actually is
Content Egg
A WordPress plugin that pulls product data from a very large number of affiliate networks and marketplaces — Amazon among many others — and renders price comparisons, product lists and offers from all of them together. Its defining characteristic is the sheer number of sources it supports, which makes it the standard answer for price-comparison and deal sites.
Ama Affiliate Pro
A WordPress plugin that writes the five kinds of article an Amazon affiliate site needs, keeps the products inside them alive as they go out of stock, records which article earns rather than which is busy, and sends international readers to their own Amazon store. Ultra adds an agent that decides which of those to do today.
Feature by feature
Only checkable capabilities are in this table. Nothing here is a judgement about which tool is nicer to use — that is not something a tick can honestly represent.

Where Content Egg is the better answer
Written first, and at length, because it is the part of a comparison page that is usually missing and the part that decides whether you should trust the rest of it.
Nothing here competes on number of networks, and we are not going to pretend otherwise
Content Egg reads product data from a very large number of merchants and affiliate networks. Ama Affiliate Pro reads one. If your site’s proposition is “here is this product at eight retailers, cheapest first”, we are the wrong tool by construction — not weaker at it, incapable of it.
Price comparison across merchants is a different product from what we make
A genuine multi-merchant price table, kept current, is hard and Content Egg has spent years on it. Our comparison tables compare Amazon products against each other on attributes. Those are two different pages serving two different searches, and only one of us builds the first kind.
It suits regions where Amazon is not dominant
Plenty of affiliate markets are not Amazon markets. If most of your audience shops somewhere Amazon barely operates, an Amazon-first plugin is an odd purchase however good it is at Amazon, and a multi-network tool is simply the correct shape.
Choose Content Egg if:
- Your site compares prices across several merchants.
- You earn meaningfully from networks other than Amazon.
- Your audience is in a market where Amazon is not the main retailer.
- Deals, coupons and offers are the content, rather than reviews.
Where Ama Affiliate Pro is the better answer
Depth on the one network that matters to you
Geo-routing to the reader’s own Amazon store with the right tag, a scheduled health check on every ASIN, click tracking that reports per article, and content written specifically around Amazon product data. Each of those is only worth building if you have decided Amazon is the business — which is exactly the decision this comparison turns on.
The articles get written
Five types, on your own AI provider key, at that provider’s rates. A review-only site does not grow, so the informational and comparison types are not extras — they are the traffic.
Sixteen tools for the site you already have
Dead products, dead links, orphan posts, duplicate articles, posts with no Amazon element at all, and a media library full of unused images. This is the unglamorous half of an affiliate site and the half that quietly costs the most when nobody is doing it.
Choose Ama Affiliate Pro if:
- Amazon Associates is where essentially all your affiliate income comes from.
- Your content is reviews and buying guides rather than price comparison.
- You want articles produced and old ones maintained, not just data pulled in.
- You want per-article click data you own.
What each one costs to run
Prices change without notice. Both figures below were checked on VERIFY and are here so the shape of the difference is visible, not as a quotation. Check both on the sellers’ own pages before you decide anything.
Content Egg
Check the current purchase and update terms on the seller’s own page — Content Egg has historically been a one-off purchase with modules and paid update periods, and that structure is worth reading carefully.
Ama Affiliate Pro
A licence with a lifetime option, plus your own AI provider account billed by that provider.
Both sit on the licence side rather than the subscription side, so the price gap is usually smaller than the capability gap. Decide on fit first and price second — buying the cheaper wrong-shaped tool is the expensive outcome here.
The verdict
This one is decided by a single question and it is not a close-run thing either way. Count where your affiliate income comes from. If it arrives from several merchants, or your pages compare prices across retailers, Content Egg is built for that and we are not — buy Content Egg. If Amazon is essentially all of it, the breadth is capability you are paying for and not using, and the depth we spend it on instead is what changes your month: knowing which article earns, and knowing when the product in it died.
Look inside before you decide
Every admin screen of Ama Affiliate Pro and Ultra, clickable, on one page — no sign-up, no email, nothing to install. Compare it against Content Egg’s own demo and make your own mind up.

The same nine capabilities, applied to every alternative: all the comparisons in one table. If you are still deciding what kind of tool you need at all, the playbook walks through the stages of an affiliate site and names which problems a plugin solves and which it cannot.
Common questions
Which should I choose for a price-comparison site?
Content Egg, without hesitation. Multi-merchant price comparison is what it is for, and Ama Affiliate Pro does not do it at all.
Which should I choose for an Amazon review site?
Ours, on balance — but check the table rather than taking that on trust. The argument is depth: geo-routing, per-article click data, scheduled ASIN health checks and article generation are all things worth building only if you have decided Amazon is the business.
Can I run both?
Technically yes, but think hard about why. Two plugins both rendering Amazon products is how a site ends up showing two different prices for the same item on the same page. If you do run both, give each a clear territory and do not let them overlap on Amazon.
Does Ama Affiliate Pro support eBay, AliExpress or Walmart?
No. There is a custom call-to-action button for non-Amazon products and a writing mode for reviewing them, but there is no product data integration with other marketplaces and none is planned. If you need that, this is the wrong product.
Does Content Egg write articles?
It has content-generation modules, and what they currently produce is worth checking against what you actually need — a full 1,800-word review with schema, a comparison table and internal links is a different output from an assembled list of offers. Look at real output from both before deciding.
I am in a market where Amazon is small. What then?
Then almost everything on our side of the table is irrelevant to you, and a multi-network tool is the right shape regardless of which one you pick. We would rather say that than sell you an Amazon plugin for a non-Amazon audience.
What if I start on Amazon and add other networks later?
A reasonable plan, and it does not have to be decided now. Our licence does not lock your content — articles, tables and boxes are plain content in your own database — so adding a multi-network tool later is a normal migration rather than a rescue.
You sell one of these. Is this page fair?
It is not neutral and says so at the top, but it recommends the competitor for an entire category of site rather than burying that in a footnote. Every table row is checkable on the seller’s own site in a few minutes.
