Hostinger’s Amazon affiliate plugin: what it does, what Hostinger does not say, and when it is enough.
If your site is on Hostinger, an Amazon plugin may already be one click away. Here is what Hostinger’s own documentation says it does, the questions it leaves open, and how it compares with a dedicated plugin.

The short version
- It is called Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools. It comes with Hostinger’s Business and Cloud WordPress plans and is not on WordPress.org.
- It adds one block that inserts Amazon products as a single product, a list, or a comparison table, searched from inside the editor.
- Setup is a country and a tracking ID. API settings are optional, Hostinger says.
- What Hostinger does not say: which Amazon API the optional settings use, and where product data comes from without one. Ask before you build a site on it.
amawp.com runs on Hostinger, so we see the same hPanel offer you do. Hostinger’s plugin is a sensible idea: most new affiliate sites need a product card and a comparison table before they need anything else. What follows is drawn from Hostinger’s own tutorial on the plugin, written by its Head of WordPress and last updated on 15 September 2026. We have not installed it on this site, so where its documentation is silent we say so rather than guess.
What the plugin is
Hostinger describes it as a plugin that helps you add affiliate links in various display formats. It supports two platforms: Amazon, worldwide, and Mercado Livre, currently for Brazilian sites. Once installed, you search for products and insert them from the WordPress block editor without switching tabs.
| Question | What Hostinger says |
|---|---|
| Name | Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools (earlier versions of Hostinger’s tutorial called it the Amazon Affiliate Connector) |
| Who gets it | Business and Cloud WordPress hosting plans |
| Where it lives | hPanel’s Recommended installations; then WordPress → Hostinger → Affiliate Marketing |
| Amazon setup | Choose your Amazon country, enter your tracking ID |
| API settings | Optional; “they can give you more accurate search results” |
| Price | No separate price; included with those plans |
We searched WordPress.org for it and found no listing, which fits Hostinger’s description of it as part of its plans. That matters if you ever move hosts.
How to set it up
- In hPanel, open your website and scroll to Recommended installations. Click Install next to the affiliate plugin.
- In WordPress, open the Hostinger menu and choose Affiliate Marketing, then Connect.
- Choose the country of your Amazon Associates account and enter your tracking ID. If you have none yet, the tracking ID guide shows how to make one per site.
- Add API settings if you have them. They are optional.
- In a post, add the Link Amazon product(s) block and choose a layout.
The three layouts
| Layout | How you add products | What you can change |
|---|---|---|
| Single product | Enter an ASIN or pick from Amazon’s catalogue | Title can be shortened or overwritten; Amazon’s description can be hidden or replaced |
| Multiple product list | Pull bestsellers automatically, or add ASINs | Three layouts: list with descriptions, simplified list, horizontal cards; optional bestseller rank |
| Comparison table | Configured first in the Hostinger menu, then picked in the block | Name the table, add products, choose the rows to show |
Three questions to ask Hostinger first
Hostinger’s tutorial is clear about the buttons and silent on three things that matter for any Amazon plugin in 2026. None of them means the plugin is wrong; they are simply not answered in its documentation.
- Which Amazon API do the optional settings use? Amazon retired its old Product Advertising API in May 2026, and keys for it now return errors. The replacement, the Creators API, uses different credentials and needs 10 qualifying sales in the past 30 days. Creators API vs PA-API explains the change. Ask whether the API settings accept Creators API credentials.
- Where does product data come from without an API? The tutorial says the plugin works without an API key but does not say how it gets titles, images or prices. That matters because Amazon’s policies allow prices and availability only when Amazon serves the link that shows them or you get the data through its API, and star ratings only through the API.
- What happens to the blocks if you leave Hostinger? With no WordPress.org listing, check whether the blocks keep working, or at least degrade to plain links, on another host.
Why these questions are not a criticism. The same questions apply to every plugin compared in which Amazon affiliate plugins still work after PA-API, our own included. Since May 2026 they decide whether product boxes keep updating.
When it is enough, and when it is not
Probably enough if
You are on a Business or Cloud plan anyway, the site is new, you need a few product cards and a comparison table per article, and you are happy to write every article and check every link yourself.
Look further if
You publish often, need product boxes that update from Amazon, want dead products flagged, click reports per article, readers sent to their own country’s store, or might move hosts later.
Whichever plugin builds the boxes, the basics are the same: links tagged with your ID, rel=”sponsored”, and a disclosure on the page. Adding Amazon links in WordPress covers those without any plugin. If you are still choosing a host or a theme, what it costs to start an affiliate site and the best free themes cover the rest of the setup.

When product boxes are not the whole job
Ama Affiliate Pro works on any host. It adds product boxes and comparison tables, writes the article around them, flags dead products and reports clicks per article.
Common questions
Does Hostinger have an Amazon affiliate plugin?
Yes. Hostinger calls it Hostinger Affiliate Marketing Tools. It adds a block to the WordPress editor that inserts Amazon products as a single product, a product list or a comparison table, and also supports Mercado Livre for Brazilian sites.
Is the Hostinger Amazon affiliate plugin free?
It has no separate price, but it is not on WordPress.org. Hostinger says it comes with its Business and Cloud WordPress hosting plans, so you need one of those plans to use it.
Does the Hostinger plugin need an Amazon API key?
No. Hostinger’s tutorial says entering API settings is optional and gives more accurate search results. It does not say which Amazon API those settings are for, or where product data comes from without one.
How do I set up the Hostinger affiliate plugin?
Install it from the Recommended installations section in hPanel, then in WordPress go to Hostinger, Affiliate Marketing, click Connect, choose your Amazon country and enter your tracking ID. Then add the Link Amazon product(s) block to a post.
Can I use the Hostinger plugin on another host?
Hostinger only offers it with its own Business and Cloud plans, and we found no WordPress.org listing. If you move hosts, plan for product blocks that may stop working.
Is the Hostinger plugin enough for an Amazon affiliate site?
For a small site that needs product cards and a comparison table, it may be. It does not write content, check for dead products, or report clicks per article, which matters once a site has many product boxes.
